On this page, you will learn what Elo is and explore all of its options.

Elo System

Elo is a system used to calculate the relative skill levels of players in competitive games, where ratings are adjusted based on match outcomes.

elo-ranking:
  k-factor: 32
  min-rating: 0
  max-rating: 3500
  default-rating: 500
  tolerance: 200
  • K-factor (32): Determines how much a player's rating changes after each match. A higher K-factor means larger rating adjustments.

  • Min-rating (0): The lowest possible rating a player can have.

  • Max-rating (3500): The highest possible rating a player can achieve.

  • Default-rating (500): The starting rating given to players when they join the system.

  • Tolerance (200): The margin within which ratings can fluctuate before they are considered significantly different.
